Trio
Three downtown buildings viewed from the Empire State Plaza. From left to right, the Legislative Office Building, the Old State Education Building, and the New York State Capitol.
This photo has a lot of depth to it. Each building has its own symmetry within the picture and within the building itself, it's almost as if each building represent one of the layers which add depth to the picture. Plus, I like to think that each object is dated, somehow to some architectural fad of a certain time period. I don't know how I feel about the trees. They seem kind of in the way but, unfortunately, the picture wouldn't look as good without them.
After making those comments I think it's fair to say that this is a really cool picture of downtown Albany.
A lifelong resident of Albany, N.Y. who loves history and writing, I'm also the site admin for Broadway actor Hugh Panaro. Currently working on a history of the Albany Rural Cemetery. Oh, and a Whovian.
