A Very Large Tulip
A popular symbol of Albany, this giant tulip greets motorists as they exit 787 near Broadway and Clinton Avenues. In the background are glimpses of the Corning Tower and the Old Dutch Church.
I'm not sure exactly how long it's been here. I checked for a plaque or something to identify it, but couldn't find anything. I first noticed it about a year ago.
A lifelong resident of Albany, N.Y. who loves history and writing, I'm also the site admin for Broadway actor Hugh Panaro. Currently working on a history of the Albany Rural Cemetery. Oh, and a Whovian.
A beautiful tulip, I have never seen such a big one here.
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't seen that! How long has it been there?
