Oh, so that's why there are many Dutch Americans living in that area. Well, thanks to Mr. Van Rensselaer, New Netherland became a cornerstone of the so-called 'world's capital' and 'city of steel': New York City. Maybe today's businessmen would follow his success as a merchant and jeweler.
